My Struggle…
As a mother of 5 and 8 grandchildren, I reached my highest weight of 172 pounds while standing at 5’3. I was in a very dark place battling feelings of depression and anger - you name and I had it. I was borderline diabetic and my cholesterol had reached over 300. I couldn't even tie my shoes. My last concern was how I looked or dressed because I simply couldn’t bear the thought of myself. I was taking every type of medication that you can think of to drown out my sorrow until I decided enough was enough. My life was no longer sustainable and I deserved true happiness. I deserved to feel great about myself and not shy away from the mirror. I went through my medicine cabinet and trashed every single medication with hopes of a new life.
My Decision…
In January 2016, I decided that it was time for a drastic change. I tried every single diet out there, but nothing seemed to work until I truly took control of my life. I started shakeology, practiced meditation, and dedicated myself to going to the gym on a routine schedule. Then after working 3 months alongside Dr. Z in the operation room, I took note of how he paid attention to detail during each of his surgeries and how he expertly closed his incisions. I decided to approach him about undergoing my own Mommy Makeover and placed my trust in him to do my surgery (and I'm very picky).
My Transformation…
To say my life simply changed is an understatement – my life transformed. I have never had the confidence that I have now. I used to slouch to hide myself, but now I stand with confidence. Before my transformation, I used clothes to conceal my body, but now I am excited to embrace my body and piece together outfits that flatter my figure – I’m finally comfortable and proud in my own skin. Dr. Z beautifully erased a decade of shame, embarrassment, and discomfort for which I'm truly grateful. He gave me back that confidence I once had and MORE. I thank him for what it feels like a brand-new life!!!”
