He is a Miami native, but has lived internationally and all across the country.

What is a typical day like for Dr. Afshari?
His typical day starts off with meeting new patients in consultations, seeing his post-op transformations, and then taking on the operating room to perform surgery.
Why did he decide to become a plastic surgeon?
Dr. Afshari discovered his love for plastic surgery during his general surgery training while assisting plastic surgeons and admiring their attention to detail. He immediately realized that he would love to be in that role changing people’s lives.
What makes Dr. Afshari unique?
His extensive surgical training background! Dr. Afshari has 5 years of general surgery training learning the human anatomy and worked toward ultimately earning his board-certification in general surgery. Following that, he began conducting research in plastic surgery safety and continued his journey with rigorous plastic surgery training at a high-volume center to perfect his craft.
What advice does he give patients?
It’s extremely important for all patients to choose their plastic surgeon wisely. Not only should you choose someone you can trust, but also a surgeon that will TRULY listen to you.
